How do I clean the wax warmer? To clean your wax warmer, let the wax cool and harden. Once solid, remove it from the warmer you can pop it out with your thumbs and discard it, if not popping out place in freezer for 5-10mins and tap on your hand and it should fall out. For any remaining residue, wipe the bowl with a paper towel or cloth. If needed, use warm soapy water and a non-abrasive sponge. Always ensure the warmer is unplugged(if electric) and completely dry before using it again. You can also place some cotton balls in the wax when turning off your burner, which will absorb the warm wax easily.
Are wax melts safe to use? When used properly, wax melts are safe. Follow the manufacturer's instructions for your wax warmer, avoid leaving the warmer unattended, and keep it away from flammable materials. Always place the warmer on a heat-resistant surface.
Do Wax Melts Disappear?
No, they don't. With wax melts, the scent will dissipate, but the wax doesn't evaporate like candles.
Are Soy Melts Better Than Soy Candles?
Yes, they are. Soy wax melts last longer than soy candles. Soy wax melts have longer burn times and more intense fragrance compared to soy candles, because there is no wick producing carbon dioxide.
How should I store wax melts? Store wax melts in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight and heat sources. Keeping them in an airtight container or sealed bag can help preserve their fragrance.
Can I reuse wax melts? Wax melts can be reused until the fragrance is no longer strong. Simply allow the wax to harden, remove it from the warmer, and replace it with a new melt when the scent fades. You can also make your own firestarters, pour the wax into empty egg containers, just fill them up about halfway. Allow the wax to cool before moving them. When you're ready to use your homemade fire starters, rip the cups apart and use in your fire or campfire.
What should I do if the wax gets spilled? If wax spills, allow it to cool and solidify. Once solid, scrape off the excess wax with a plastic card or spatula. For any remaining residue, clean the surface with warm soapy water. Be careful with hot wax to avoid burns.
